ASUS G53SW-A1 Review

The G53SW has a 15.6-inch display with LED backlighting and a proper 1080p (1920x1080) resolution. The colors popped even more we when switched to Vivid mode. Unfortunately, we noticed pixilation in some of the darker scenes in a Super 8 trailer.

 

The G53SW has a full-size keyboard and separate numeric keypad. Typing on the G53SW's black matte keyboard is a mixed bag. The backlit island-style keyboard provided decent feedback, but the large amount of flex to the layout is troublesome. 

 

With faster, intelligent, multi-core technology that applies processing power where its needed most, the G53SW powered by 2nd generation Intel Core i7 mobile processor Extreme Edition delivers an incredible breakthrough in gaming performance. It also has Nvidia's GeForce GTX 460M graphics card with 1.5GB of fast GDDR5 memory, a generous 8GB of RAM, and an extremely fast 750GB 7200RPM hard drive. The G53SW's Core i7 processor and Nvidia GTX 460M graphics card produce more framerates than are required to make the game playable.

 

The ASUS G53SW-A1 offers a great combination of blazing-fast graphics, a gorgeous display, and rich audio. Itis a fully-featured gaminglaptop and is above average in just about every area.
